Who is Niranib Niraparib indicated for?

Niraparib is used as a “maintenance” treatment in adults to prevent certain types of cancer from coming back. This includes cancer of the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or peritoneum (the membrane that lines the inside of your abdomen and covers some of your internal organs).
Niraparib is given after you have had chemotherapy (with cisplatin, oxaliplatin, carboplatin or similar) and your cancer has responded to it.
Niraparib is only sometimes used if your cancer has a specific genetic marker (abnormal BRCA gene) or other genetic mutations. Your doctor will test for this gene for you.
Niraparib may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Is Niranib Niraparib indicated for pregnant women?

Do not use niraparib if you are pregnant. It can harm an unborn baby or cause a miscarriage. Use effective birth control to prevent pregnancy while you are using this medicine and for at least 6 months after your last dose.
This medicine may affect fertility (ability to have children) in men. Talk to your doctor about your individual risk.

Is Niranib Niraparib indicated for breastfeeding women?

Do not breast-feed while using this medicine and for at least 1 month after your last dose.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Skip the missed dose and use your next dose at the usual time. Do not use two doses at the same time.
